CCEA AI Marker
AI marking for CCEA, Northern Ireland's exam board. GCSE English Language writing is marked the way CCEA marks it, by Competence Level, and CCEA A-Level and AS-Level answers are marked against CCEA's own mark schemes.
CCEA GCSE English Language writing
Section A writing tasks for GCSE English Language, both the current specification (490, Units 1 and 4) and the new specification first awarded in 2027 (5030, Units 1 and 3). Enter the task exactly as it was set and the writing is marked strand by strand using CCEA's Competence Level grids, giving a mark out of the task's total and the evidence behind it. A single task gets a mark, not a grade, because CCEA grades the whole qualification. Teachers can also mark CCEA GCSE English Literature as a class set.
CCEA A-Level and AS-Level subjects
10 CCEA subjects at A-Level and at AS-Level, marked against CCEA's mark schemes and assessment objectives, with a predicted A*–E grade. A-Level and AS marking is included with Premium.

How CCEA marking works
Competence Levels, not a guess
GCSE writing is given a Competence Level per strand by five independent readings, and CCEA's grids turn those into marks in code.
The task as set
The form, purpose and audience come from the task you enter, so an article is never marked as a speech.
CCEA mark schemes
A-Level and AS answers are marked against CCEA's own mark schemes, retrieved at marking time.
Handwriting read for you
Photograph handwritten work; it is transcribed before it is marked.
